Situated in the old stone Government Buildings just off General Street, Marble Bar proudly welcomes Visitors and locals to the Centre. The Museum holds home to equipment dated back to the 1800's as well as Photo's and History of the Town. Take some time to relax in the beautiful atmosphere on the Verandah
The local water hole is where you can view the huge magnificent bar of Jasper.
The story is when the town was named they thought this was Marble.
Take a bottle or container with you to the pool so you can splash water over the rocks and watch the colours come alive even more.
Jasper is not to be removed from this site, however just a few kms down the Hillside Road you will discover the Jasper Deposit where you can fossick to your hearts content.
Doolena Gorge is 41 km north of Marble Bar on Marble Bar-Port Hedland Road.
Access via gates on the left just after you cross the Coongan River. Plan your trip to reach this beautiful spot around 5pm to watch the sunset light up the cliff face. Set your deck chair, pour a glass of wine and sit back to watch the display.
If you are feeling a little more energetic follow the track next to the creek for 50mtrs. Climb up the gully to the waterfall and watch the sunset colours from there. You are sure to get some wonderful photos. It is a free camping spot, and you will get to share the waterway with the pelicans.
Long Pool is 40km north of Marble Bar on the Marble Bar-Port Hedland Road.
Access is via gates on RHS of road before crossing the Coongan River.
Enjoy shaded swimming and birdlife galore.
Try a spot of fishing in the Coongan Pools and you might catch a Spangled Perch.
Carrawine Gorge
Carrawine Gorge is a peaceful, beautiful and remote bush camp site located 160km from Marble Bar on the Ripon Hill Road, near the Woodie Woodie Mine. It is shared with travellers by the Mills Family on Warrawagine Station which is a million acre or 401,780 hectare property.
Located near Woodie Woodie Mine/ Telfer Mine/ Ripon Hills Rd junction. It is signposted to the right and has a 13km dirt road that is in reasonable condition, which is dependent on what the weather has been like and the road conditions may change. Recommended 4WD only and off road campers and caravans, though for larger vans you can unhitch, enjoy the drive in and decide for yourself.
Great spot to relax, enjoy your photography and bird life, take out your canoe or kayak, swim or enjoy a spot of fishing on the shady banks of the Oakover River. You may even catch your dinner.
This Wonder of Wonders is a magical spot if you have the energy to make the hike! The turn off is tricky to find.

Approx 68km north of Marble Bar on the old Shay Gap Road is a deep cutting in the hills known as Coppin’s Gap.
It provides visitors with safe and picturesque swimming
shaded by tall native trees and framed by a spectacular rock face.
Enjoy a relaxing swim in the still waters which are shaded by the rock for much of the day and soak up the natural beauty and tranquillity.
Explore the rock face of the grove with its colourful bands of rock before settling down for a well deserved picnic lunch.
A four wheel drive is recommended to explore the area.
Alternatively make a stop at Marble Bar or Port Hedland visitors centres for details about overland tours of Coppins Gap and other attractions in the area.
Coppin Gap is a two hour drive south of Port Hedland.
4kms down the Hillside Road on the way to Comet Gold Mine is the Jasper Deposit. This is where you can fossick for Jasper without getting a huge fine.
